I think Ortiz makes the play that Pratt kinda held back on but Pratt has already been more fun to watch than both Ortiz and Rengifo that I’m OK with the play not being made…even if not making the play hurt us
And it still took a miracle for the catcher to hold on to the ball. That’s a good baseball play all around. Minus our catcher not directing the runner where to slide or our star 2b moving up to second on the throw.
He’s been so lazy lately. I don’t care much that he doesn’t hustle down the line on ground outs (save your legs) but reaching for pitches in the dirt and ABs where he just waves at pitches drive me crazy
I think we’re really reaching on this one. Sliding head first into home is also a really good way of hurting yourself. The result sucked but it took a whole lot to go right for Atlanta for him to be out
