  1. Just looked, hopefully it's nothing, but a Netjets flight bound for Houston left MKE at 10:42 this morning.
  2. The Garlic Fries, as noted, are what they're noted for but I wasn't all that impressed. It was back in 2006 I was there, so things may have changed. The cool thing that I remember from that night is that I was walking down the concourse and spotted Mark Attanasio and his wife walking the other way. He was gracious enough to talk to me for a few minutes which was very cool. Impressed that I was a Brewer fan who at the time lived in NC. And they won too...I remember Zach Jackson was the starter, and I just went back to Baseball Reference and they won that game 10-1. And I remember it was chilly, even though it was the middle of July.
  3. They lost Collins, Finley and Murphy...the later never actually did much, but he was probably as talented a WR'er as Thompson drafted. The thing about Collins injury, it looked like such a minor little hit to the head. Like Stewart's let just brushed it. Your post jogged my memory. I was there in person, in Charlotte, for both Murphy's and Collins' injuries. Murphy's was on a Monday night, and an all around brutal game by the Packers, who nearly came back to win at the end with a crazy Favre comeback. I remember how silent the crowd got when he got hurt. And Collins, a few years later on a Sunday afternoon in a game the Packers ended up winning. I remember like you said, it didn't look that bad. Been to a few more Packer games in Charlotte since, they never seem to go too well. Thomas Davis' cheap shot to Davante Adams a couple years ago that concussed him, and in fact, it was Davis who hit Murphy which ended his career.
  4. Realize this is old but I love the Pit Barrel Cooker. I make pulled pork in mine regularly, using a Boston Butt as they call it down here in South Carolina. Thanksgiving turkey the last three years, ribs, chicken, prime rib (delicious, much better than I expected), brisket (full), and tri tip. It truly is set it and forget it. Just follow the instructions as stated on the website and you shouldn't have any problems. I add wood chunks or chips based upon what I'm smoking.
  5. The Nationals are being forced out of Syracuse after this coming season because the Mets purchased the franchise. Perhaps the Brewers can scoop up Las Vegas (Mets home through 2018), with a new park on the horizon there.
  6. Sogard is dealing with a sore ankle. http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/brewers-eric-sogard-dealing-with-sore-ankle/
  7. No chance of New Orleans, unfortunately. Saw this on the Ballpark Digest website. Renewed with Marlins through 2020. http://ballparkdigest.com/2016/06/24/marlins-zephyrs-extend-player-development-contract/
  8. Fiers got rocked in Colorado two years ago. That was the beginning of the slide. I remember because I was at that game. Might not be the best spot for him, but would it be any worse than Estrada?
  9. With the Dodgers blowing it last night I think we need about a six-run first inning tonight so that Grienke doesn't have to pitch more than 2 or 3 innings.
  10. I don't know if anyone has seen this yet, I stumbled on it today while websurfing. Pretty cool! Article said it would probably be officially unveiled in the next week. Apologize if anyone's posted this yet. http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6835980
  11. This is exactly what it is, lazy reporting. I live not too far from Charlotte, and I've heard the same thing around here, "The Brewers don't draw, they're a good candidate for relocation." And as has been said, why would MLB want three teams in Florida? All this is is a political candidate grasping for votes by making ridiculous claims, and the lazy inexperienced reporter trying to add what he considers his informed opinion.
  12. Probably somewhere downtown. I was there three weeks ago when the D-Backs were in town. Saw Mark Grace and other D-Backs personnel walking around town near the White House quite early in the morning, 9:00 or so, on their off day. I'm sure they were staying in the area.
  13. It's not just Milwaukee, I'm getting the Angels game in South Carolina on DirecTV. Even after the guide this morning said Brewers-Dodgers.
