    That West Virginia roster intrigues me. I look forward to seeing what Bouchie, Brewer, Gillespie, and Errecart can do together in that lineup.

    While interesting, these are just educated guesses like anybody else. Look at what they had projected in 2006 for cats like Bill Hall, Geoff Jenkins, and Jeff Cirillo to see my point.

    After watching Villanueva's last two outings and his body of work over the past two seasons, I'll be disappointed if he isn't given an honest shot at the rotation next year. To me there are only four that I'm attached to, those of course being Sheets, Cappy, Bush, and Villy. I could see bringing Davis back, he likely dropped his asking price with this season. Tomo I think can go. As for the bullpen, I'm attached to Cordero, Wise, Capellan, Sarfate, and Shouse. That's about it. I would love to see a reliable veteran setup man brought in to pitch the 8th before Cordero. That would take some heat off Capellan and Sarfate going into next year. I'm still torn on what to do with the lineup. If Yost can be trusted to put Jenks in a strict platoon (except when he's hot), I'd love to have him back.

    Does Moeller handle the pitchers well though? We're 8-19 when he plays. Yes, he's hitting .196, but that's only one spot in the lineup. His bat cannot possibly be the only reason we're 8-19 when he plays. I'm sure there's been some bad luck and coincidence too, but I think it's quite possible that he's not handling the pitchers all that well either. This is a .500 team that is playing 11 games under .500 when Moeller starts. That's stunning.

    Heck, Furcal couldn't have thrown himself out, and he has a cannon of a right arm. Nothing he could do there, that was a classic women's softball style swinging drag bunt. It was Koskie or bust on that play.

    Wow, consecutive 0-2 walks by Jenkins against a lefty. Very impressive.
