  1. I don't know what happened between the end of last season and the beginning of this one, but his command is nothing like it used to be. These walk totals he's racking up so far are disconcerting for a purported ace pitcher.
  2. Anyone explain what happened on the triple? A Hall misplay?
  3. Soriano looked lost out there and that ball just dropped right next to him.
  4. Weeks' throw was errant. Is it too early in the season to get worried about our offense not producing at all?
  5. I'm curious as to why you think most of those players would net "someone special".
  6. However, with Tavarez there is the opportunity for a bench-clearing brawl, something I desperately want to see the Brewers involved in. Would Prince Fielder eat someone? What would the bullpen do? Would Sheets suddenly be painted like Gibson in Braveheart running around the field? This is something I think we all need to experience in our lifetime.
  7. He can't hit a curveball. The people who have fits over the productivity of Mench and Jenkins would pop a blood vessel over Pena in Miller Park.
  8. Marquis will probably demand about 10 million dollars per in this ridiculous free agent environment. That would be a key reason why, I'd imagine.
  9. It's unlikely moreso because that's an absurd low-balling of the Red Sox with a bunch of mediocrity rather than his unwillingness to come to the NL.
  10. I'm curious to see why you think Bill Hall can't hit 35 HR this upcoming season.
  11. Gotta pitch carefully to Belliard. There's a 1 in 10 chance he'll get a hit.
  12. Most emotionally draining non-televised game ever.
  13. All-star break can't come too soon for Prince.
  14. Helling is the one inning bionic man.
  15. Hit batsmen = best part of today's game, I'm afraid.
  16. Like Liriano needs help from the umps. Shin-high strikes on Corey Hart. Sheesh.
  17. I am getting rather amused at the barely hidden disgust with Moeller's hitting as of late by Sutton and Schroeder.
  18. Anybody, and I mean ANYBODY who thinks Bill Hall is at fault for that play is not knowledgable when it comes to baseball. Tough break for Fielder to have the ball pop out. Both did all they could. It's just a tough break.
  19. In our defense, there were a lot of pretty well-hit balls by some of our guys (Hall and Fielder come to mind), and it just seemed like it was an unlucky night where anything well-hit was well-hit directly at the Padres. Glad to see Cappy tough it through the three-run inning to put up another quality start. I'm really impressed at the improvements he's made in himself even from last season.
  20. 3-1 Koskie rips one outta the park.
