LOL. Homer I was going to correct Wen...D'oh!. Still not too good. JA is over 6'8 or about. Even those guys turn out to be turds. Wally and Van Horn would not be considered great players. They were good. For a time.

So people are calling me a racist for pointing out the fact than white American players never reach even great status. I am talking about the last 20 years or so. Mullin was great. Stockton was GREAT(HOF). Tom Chambers? Who else? I included a little guy even though that wasn't my original point. There may be many reasons big white Americans suck at basketball. It's not my fault. I also said I could be wrong about the guys in this class. But the track record is not my fault. It is what it is. Why draft a big white American when 99.9% of the time they aren't even all-stars. Or even near all-star great status 99%. Sure some are good. Most are not. Most are crappy role players like Wennington and Bradley who only succeed because they are tall, but have no skills. Who is teaching the big white Americans the skills? Good question. Maybe focusing on the race isn't a good thing. I agree. When it comes to big American who happen to be caucausian I would be reticent. Get Smart was OK. Sorry I couldn't respond more in time.

Mr. QL -Alexander isn't really a big man, he's a 3. It's pretty ridiculous to write him off because he's white. At least watch him play. So why did we just get Jefferson? What is his usefulness(Alex)? Too back Vill or to spell RJ? I have watched the clips just like I have seen the clips and watched the games of Kevin Love and think he will stink. That said, I could be wrong. Very wrong.

Even if you take in to account every slot position they were all drafted in...99% of the time taking the white American player is the stupid thig to do. Pick 6,3, or 30. Values differs with slots. I agree. You really think Kevin Love will be a great player? I don't. Because the past has dictated he may be a marginally good player.

I guess I should generalize less. There are rarely American players that are REALLY good. Not just journeyman type has been big men. It's a waste to me to pick them because they are almost always bad or just average. I don't want that. I don't want the Pollards and Parks of the world. I want a player that has more of an upside. Unfortunetly, and it sounds bad, I would never draft an American big guy. Ever!

Wally has made 60 million dollars in his career for being an average player. I will be disapointed in that. Wally was a 6 also. It's just a fact that white American players never really amount to jack. Wally has one all-star appearance. Whoopy. He did that when he was with KG and Marbury. Right? Could be wrong.

Collison, Ostertag, Reeves...many more. He didn't play ball overseas though. He played here. He will be bad. Bird is the exception.

Alexander will be a bust. Big, white Americans never pan out. This was a wasted pick. Should have gone for the best point with the biggest upside. Mo Williams is a problem for this team and it seems Skiles thinks he can fix him. HA!

I just read this thread. It's obvious that Braun will have to conform to a set skill set. He is just not good enough. I have my own Braun equation. Ryan Braun > Ryan Adams > Brian Adams > Brad Ausmus > Bradley Univeristy > Unitards > OBP
