Anyone that may be interested in bidding on a Ryan Braun autographed jersey, check out the link below, it's for a fundraiser for kids in So Cal! http://www.biddingforgood...Item.action?id=116684069 (edit: fixed link --1992) (edit: updated title to reflect end of auction --1992)

He went to the same High School (Granada Hills) as Ryan Braun.

I have read so many negative posts about this team, especially about our defense. We lost more games for reasons other than defense. It's a team game, not one player or play cost this team a chance to make playoffs, we are young and will only get better. We clearly need to improve in many areas, but defense is not the main concern just one part of the solution including consistent pitching and hitting for next year. Let's be realistic, this was a very good year and we hope this team builds from this year and contends for many years to come!

The worst umpire behind the plate all year both ways, absolutly brutal. He should have retired last year!

Great to hear all the fans on the televised game rooting for the Brewers on the road!

This was his first game playing 3b this season, where would he have helped prior to today for the Brewers?
  9. WestCoastBrewer
He has been taking batting practice, will most likely play by Sunday.

I completly agree, it came down to service time and nothing more. This is a business and it is clearly run like a small market club that it has been for many years.

Adam, You guys did fine, can't please everyone especially on this board!

Jeff Suppan lives in Granada Hills, CA in the off season (So Cal) same town as Ryan Braun.

He was drafted by the Dodgers out of high school.

Colbyjack, If we had drafted Zimmerman he would be in the same place Braun is in my opinion based on the Brewers organization profile on promoting players. Wonder what your thoughts are on this?

    No problem.

Just heard while listening to a AFL game that Toronto will sign Frank Thomas to a 2 year contract.
  20. WestCoastBrewer
Something interesting, this year the AFL added 5 more pitchers to each team to try and balance the hitting in the league.

Braun defensive plays in last nights game, multimedia link below go to 10-27-2006 game fast forward to the 48:00 minute and 2:20 mark of the game to listen. www.minorleaguebaseball.c...p?sid=l119

Anyone at the game today to get a first hand report on all the players?
  23. WestCoastBrewer
Thanks for all your hard work and time you put in, I truly appreciate your efforts.

My two cents, bring up the young guys in the minors (Position and Pitchers) who are deserving to instill some character to this team, sometimes it's well worth the investment for both the current players, management and most of all the fans! We have some young talent worth taking a look at for 2007. I would bet if they did that a few days ago, we may still be talking about a wild card team.
