That's great news for all those guys. Wonder why Nix and Gwynn didn't have their stuff with them when they left last night?

I would go with the following. Rottino, Villanueva, Spurling, Stetter, Nix, Aquino, Gwynn Nix and Gwynn are the only ones who did not leave with their stuff for Milwaukee after last nights game.

He is definately just a bullpen catcher. The person I asked said he's a "local college kid or something." He also told me as long as he's signing his actual name and not one of the other guys on the team, autographs are fine.

I was going to ask one of my friends last night, but I ended up leaving really early to get something to eat. If I find out I'll let you know.

I noticed the autographs last night. That does seem a bit odd to me too.

I don't know who the guy is, but I do know last season they had a trainer from Gold's Gym (I think) that they used for the bullpen.

They usually do this 3 or 4 times a season. Saturday night was the last one for this summer. Also, they do auction the regular jerseys at the end of the season.

Oh, I did end up taking home the Barnwell...still can't believe I paid that much. Even though he didn't do well with the Brewers, he's been a solid player here so most people really like him. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif There was only one other bid on his jersey. Someone started the bidding at $175. I couldn't believe it, but once I've made up my mind a jersey is going home with me, it usually does. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif

It was actually my jersey that went the highest...$185. Hi...I'm the Barnwell fan and no, I wasn't blocking for his. I was trying to get Rivera for a friend who wasn't there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Newbie around here and still trying to learn baseball. (Just reading this board has helped quite a bit.) I just wanted to comment about where the rest of the players were while Cruz was signing autographs. People gather at the exit and the players always are more than happy to stop to sign for fans. I do agree with most of your thoughts about the game.
