Interesting side note that Doug Melvin called Mat personally apologizing profusely for that article and said it should have never been released. Money was also supposed to apologize, but did not.

Speculation is correct. He got notified yesterday after the game in Nashville and flew out last night. Edit: I posted that before I saw the other thread - guess y'all already knew that. Thanks for the congratulations. I will certainly pass them on to Mat and our parents. We don't know how long he is up for at this point, but are obviously hoping for the best, however long his stay is.

Thanks - we cant wait either. He has been sidelined the past two days for "the flu". He did hit BP, but was sent home/back to the hotel after that because they did not want him in the close quarters of the locker room & dugout around the other players. They are treating the symptoms with medication. Today is a big day for him and Julianne, his fiance. They are at the hospital (in Jax) for the birth of their daughter, Audrey. Mat flew in late last night. Hopefully he is feeling better when he gets back to AZ on Monday.
