  1. Is anyone else thinking 40mph is not that big of a deal for a kid that age??? Parents throw that hard when they pitch in some leagues for kids just so they can get a ball to reach the plate
  2. "BTW, what sports besdes football keep going regardless of weather, anyway?" Soccer plays in all conditions, even with standing water, provided lightning is not within a few miles.
  3. I saw the gate keeper with one on the other night... that was what got me looking
  4. Does anyone know where I can find a Brewer Jersey like the one that Pat Listach has on in the picture below? If you could provide a link if there is a website, I would appreciate it... I've spent the last 2 hours looking for it myself! http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/c6b3559b97ab73efecd6d255f2efc2e33d08f16.jpg
  5. If you know you got it...and you do know when you get it...it's a pretty natural thing to watch it! Situation does dictate the form of their celebrations too... Braun has not been pimping the majority of his long home runs this year actually when compared to last year.
  6. Chad Moeller - MVP Baseball '05 - guy could mash homeruns well beyond his capabilities in real-life...hit 70+ homers with him in a season Tom Brunansky - World Series Baseball '94 - see Chad Moeller QB Eagles (Randall Cunningham) - Tecmo Super Bowl - when in Good or Excellent condition was as fast as Bo Jackson or could stop and fire bombs All Running Backs - NFL Quarterback Club '96 - you could press hurdle and speed burst simultaneous and the RB would bounce 5 yards every time around the D Joe Sakic - NHL '95 - Best deker in the game... could score every time down the ice
  7. ESPN: Brewers deal for Giants second baseman Durham (edit: clickification --1992)
  8. Durham to the Brewers per Baseball Tonight on ESPN
  9. Having played Centerfield through college, I can attest to the fact that it is the easiest defensive outfield position to play provided you have 'outfield speed'. Speed is a relative term when it comes to the outfielders...I've seen some really 'fast' people that cannot read a ball off of a bat and have been terrible outfielders as a result, but others who don't have great speed but can get a beat on the ball are good outfielders. Ideally you want your centerfielder to have both. What I've seen of Braun so far in left is that he can cover some ground when he makes his decision on the ball, but is slow to do that. That is typical of people who lack experience in the outfield. My thought for next year is that Braun will stay in left, Hart will shift to center, and LaPorta will be the RF. All goes out the window if Prince is dealt for the arm that they will need for the rotation if Sheets walks at year's end.

  11. I have to give some respect to three of my favorites: 1) Oh's - Highly underrated, as well as difficult to find 2) Waffle Crisp 3) Cinnamon Toast Crunch
  12. I just moved to Milwaukee a month ago from Chicago and haven't found any men's teams to join so far...anyone looking for people still? I've played baseball all my life, through college, and have played softball for the last three years. I'm 26 and can play in the infield or outfield. Thanks
  13. Eden Seaman was the one I always had to cringe at
  14. Thanks for the recommendations! I'll be giving Shoreline and some of the other places a call... Let me know if you can think of anything else. I really appreciate the help!
  15. I am 26 and recently accepted a job in Milwaukee, so I am now in the process of moving back there from Chicago. I am looking for apartments near the bar scene (water st.) that are in a good neighborhood where other young people live. I grew up in the burbs, so I'm not too familiar with the downtown area. Anyone have recommendations or know of any apartments available? I would like to spend under $900/mo. if possible Thanks
  16. I am a Milwaukee transplant, living in Chicago, and a lifelong Brewers fan. But let me play the devil's (Cub's/Dempster's) advocate here for a minute.... This quote does not entirely spell out what he was trying to say in the interview from which this quote originated. He was asked what do you think the Cubs chances are this year? (or something similar) His response was that I think we are going to win the World Series this year...but went on to say that just like every other team in the league, you have to think that going in to the season, or else, what's the point in working hard in the off-season or even showing up in Spring Training. Just wanted to get that out there in that he wasn't making a T.O. like prediction for the season.
  17. If you are scared by that... then check out MSN's version when you go to maps.live.com/default.asp...&FORM=MSNH -download the 3D virtual earth -type in your home address -go to an isometric view -click on bird's eye view for even closer Bill Gates has his eyes on you right now
  18. I am looking for 4 tickets for the Brewers game this Friday and was wondering if any of my fellow Brewerfan.netters were trying to sell any. Please let me know via a post or e-mail, my e-mail address is amkuffel@yahoo.com, if you are able to help me out. Thanks
  19. I would not trade Jenkins for Jones solely based on the loss in defense. Jacque Jones spiked more balls when throwing to the infield than a little leaguer. If you thought Carlos Lee was an adventure in the outfield, he's gold glove caliber when compared to Jones IMO.
  20. i have the game on MLB.TV and Sheets curveball is filthy... he hit 99mph last inning too
  21. according to the Diamondback announcers, Brady Clark is one of the fastest players in the game... what are those guys watching???
