  1. Duncan in LF makes Braun look like a natural at 3B.
  2. CV gets out with 0 runs allowed but again with the high pitch counts. 25 pitches in the 1st. And does anybody think Hardy looks like a porn star with his mustache?
  3. Who was it that said Villanueva has the best control on the staff? Bernman? Yeah, CV is proving that he doesn't and never did have the best control on the staff.
  4. Should this go in the silver lining thread? At least it only took Villanueva 4 pitches to walk Ankiel instead of 17.
  5. Good. The last thing this group of players needs is another inexperienced coach that they can push around. Skiles will actually back up his talk. If you don't buy into his system, say hello to the bench. If you don't play defense, say hello to the bench. If he wears on the team in a couple of years but teaches them good fundamentals on defense I'll be satisfied and excited for the next guy to take over.
  6. He hit 92 once. He was 90-91 most of the time.
  7. 100 in Nashville where the games don't matter vs 100 in Cincinnati where the games do. I was stunned when he came out for the 7th inning when he already had 101 pitches through 6 innings. Especially when he had such a quick hook with Suppan yesterday at only 87 pitches.
  8. If Ned was paying attention to the game yesterday he would've realized that Gagne had lost a few miles per hour on his fastball and it was the exact same situation today. He was hitting 90-91 instead of 93-94. Gagne should not have pitched unless it was absolutely necessary and with a 14 man staff it was not necessary. Torres and Riske were easily better options than Gagne. Turnbow is debateable but the fact is he had two clearly better options and failed to use them.
  9. I agree. Pull Suppan after about 90 pitches when he's cruising along but let Gallardo pitch well over 100 in his first start back from injury? Then pitch Gagne four days in a row with his injury history when Torres, Riske, Shouse or Turnbow could've been used? Possibly a combination if you wanted a righty to face Encarnacion and then Shouse to face Bako, Hatteberg and Patterson.
  10. I seriously hate it when people say this. You may have a point with the Yosted stuff if it was September? What the hell does that matter? A loss in April counts exactly the same as a loss in September.
  11. Can't use him. We are short in the bullpen already.
  12. Four days in a row for a guy with his injury history when he was only hitting 90-91 on the gun yesterday. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  13. They tried a hit and run? Stupid.
  14. He's seriously back out there? Good lord Ned.
  15. Did Brian just say Gallardo heading back out to the mound? He better not be.
  16. Okay 101 pitches for Gallardo. That should be it. Great outing on your first start! Now get him the win offense.
  17. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  18. Yo is starting to lose control and elevate his pitches. Probably a good idea to get the bullpen warming up.
  19. Wow two pitches that have been strikes for Harang not called strikes for Gallardo.
