    The funny thing is Frelick's hard hit % and exit velocity is better this year than it was last year. It's obviously still terrible but this regression should have been seen from a mile away.

    Ortiz getting to start the next inning at 2nd base is just the confidence boost he needs to get out of his offensive funk.

    Also, every bullpen move we make at the deadline is trash. Norris, Curtiss, Rosenthal, Bush, Chafin. Mears was terrible for us in 2024 but good in 2025.

    I was wondering if Ramon Urias wouldn't have been a better option for us at 3rd base and it's looking like he would be, by far. To make matters worse, he signed with the Cardinals and signed for less than Rengifo.

    The problem is it's like over half our offense. Ortiz, Rengifo, Lockridge, Matos, Perkins, Frelick, Hamilton is only good if he walks like 25% of the time which he won't do all year. Vaughn and Chourio can only do so much and that's if Chourio can actually take another step and if Vaughn himself wasn't a fluke last year.

    Chourio was here last year and the rest of our outfield was actually decent last year and I still saw him way too much.

    Remember when we traded Williams for Durbin and Cortes and Cortes was so bad we felt the need to trade him along with a prospect to San Diego for Lockridge and then to compound it all we actually think Lockridge is good and play him way too much?

    Guessing they hope Uribe gets through this inning so they can use Zerpa against Wood.
