  1. I remember that game. I was a junior in high school. I don't remember if I still had school but if I did I wasn't using the time that night to study for finals.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif Edit: I just remembered I had a chemistry final the following morning. That was pretty brutal.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  2. It wasn't up to him though. Don't you see? It was that dastardly Bean Stringfellow who forced him to take the extra $4 million!
  3. Yeah this is such a sad story. They did a report on this on the CBS 58 news after the national championship. He was driving with a couple of friends when they got in a single vehicle accident, everybody was okay and he got out to check the damage to the car when a 20 year old woman came by and tried to swerve out of the way and ended up hitting him. They interviewed his sister and some friends of his. He seemed like a great kid. RIP.
  4. Your avatar is the most fantastic thing I have ever seen. Well done, sir.
  5. Wow, I love Trenni.
  6. Anybody is better than Ann Carroll and Trenni is better than Craig Coshun too.
  7. Pirates lose. What a bunch of losers.
  8. This pitcher sucks something fierce.
  9. did Nady pause on the throw right there? Idiot.
  10. YES!!!!!!
  11. Thank you for putting this. Ultimate Frisbee is awesome. 1. Ultimate Frisbee 2. Baseball 3. Hockey 4. Basketball 5. Fireball 6. Capture the Flag (is that a sport? Who cares it's fun to play, it's a sport now.) 7. Football
  12. I'm thinking of giving him a dollar while he's warming up in the bullpen if he intentionally blows a save. I'm guessing he'll take it.
  13. Was Ann Carroll fired last year? Ann Carroll is sabotaging the broadcasts. Must be mad the Brewers released "Clordio."
  14. If you don't want to hear some random guy giving the highlights you can also click on the schedule and they have a top play section, just hit the 350K and it gives you top plays from that game. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/news/wrap.jsp?ymd=20080406&content_id=2497942&vkey=wrapup2005&fext=.jsp&team=home&c_id=mil That's the one from yesterday. Shows all 8 of Sheets' K's and the final out with Brian Anderson on the call.
  15. Opening up all the windows in the house and getting a nice spring breeze flowing in. These past two days have been those kind of days, very nice cool breezes let me know that spring is here and that means baseball's back. Sunflower seeds of course. I love those things and yes I know you can buy them anytime of year but I always get them during baseball season.
  16. The problem with this is is that he'll eventually realize they're trying to drive his pitch count up and with his incredible control, especially with someone who has his stuff (2.12 BB/9 in his minor league career) is that he'll just start pounding the strike zone. I am not looking forward to facing this guy the next few years. I wish they would just send him to Oakland for Blanton. Gets Dusty a veteran starter.
  17. I disagree with this. He was locked in from pitch one, imo. He didn't have a single fastball below 92 mph (his second fastball of the game) and Ned mentioned this in his press conference. He said he knew he was locked in when he was in the 92-94 range in the 1st inning instead of the 88-90 range that he's usually in. He hit 96 multiple times on the gun and his curveball was the best I've seen from him in a long time.
  18. I hate to say it but I'll be shocked if we win this game.
  19. But then you have to consider Hardy will get a raise, Weeks will get a raise, Fielder will get a big raise, Suppan gets a big raise, Bush gets a raise, Hart gets a raise, if Cameron's option is picked up he gets a big raise, if Torres' option gets picked up he gets a slight raise. So while we are shedding some player salary it's not going to make up for all the raises we're going to be paying.
  20. The problem with this is the Brewers just bought out his arby years. He was never going to be a free agent.
  21. Why should we settle for one or the other? It's not that hard to find a director who has some clue of what he's doing.
  22. I know FSN has in the past but with their production so far this year I wouldn't count on them figuring it out. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. You should put on gameday if you want to know the pitch speed. They give it 99% of the time.
  24. Me too. The new gameday is fantastic. Rest of the site, not so much.
