Yeah I would assume that Jenks should get credit for a steal too. Did anyone else notice that Sheets seems to be going off the charts a little bit? Last inning he threw a couple of changes to Loretta and it looked like a two-seamer to Berkman. Is the lack of strikeouts getting to him, because he seems to be working a little differently than he has in the past.

Did anyone else notice that Sheets seems to be going off the charts a little bit?

 

Beginning in April when his curve wasn't sharp, I noticed that he began regularly mixing in the changeup when facing the elite hitters (Berkman, Pujols, etc). I was a bit surprised to see it there for Loretta, but it worked. I've also noticed a bunch of 2-seamers and cutters this year, since he's thrown pitches at 88-91 in a lot of games where his 4-seamer has been hitting 95.

I'd like to see Villy in the 8th too.. I don't get why when a reliever is rolling he automatically has to come out after 1? If the guy struggles sure, but if he dominates his inning, give him another.

I think it should be. If they win he will have 9 wins and a ERA of 3.09. I think so.
