Alright guys..... Let's get some runs! I was impressed with the defense and thought we made the plays when the ball wasnt hit over the 220ft fence in left or the outhouse in right. I didn't think the walks hurt us, but I am available to pitch if that's what you want Kenny and if radman needs a switchout. The thought is not a direct result of your pitching radman by any means, they just hit the ball really well. The guy that played LC has a great arm for SS as well. I'm not one of those guys that has to play SS or I whine about it. I'll move if it helps the team get better somewhere. Can't wait for the 2nd game! Enjoy the week all! ~~Luke

Well my pitching was flat pretty much the whole night, so theres no denying my pitching was bad to start with. It also doesn't help theres no banned bats in this league apparently, so everything is gonna get crushed more then likely.

 

I also have no problem with handing the ball over to lcbj68c if he wants to give it a go on friday. If he struggles or anything, I'm always ready to come in.

I dont know that banned bats make a difference when the tennis court fence comes into play at what seems like 220'. Combine that with a grass infield and I am very disappointed in the facilities. But, both teams have to play on it, so no biggie. I'm not advocating changes, just simply stating my availability if it makes sense to improve at other places. It'll be a learning process that's going to take a few games. I didnt do the team any favors by missing practice this morning, however with the baby being due in just over a week, the missus woulda killed me if I didnt go to her appt.

Most of their bats were legal last year anyways. They were already hitting hard line drives everywhere so it's not like the bat made much of a difference if at all, especially with the short fence. We had a couple of good bats too so it was even both ways.

I have some bad news, I messed up my wrist pretty bad in my other softball game on Tuesday. I am awaiting the results of the X-rays, so hopefully nothing is broken. I will most likely be a scratch for Fridays game.
