What happened to Ryan Crew?

I don't normally follow the minors overly closely, but I do recognize most of the Brewers' guys names, especially at AA & AAA. I was checking out player stats tonight and noticed that Ryan Crew's status was listed as "suspended # days." If I'd heard what this was about, I've certainly forgotten the answer. Does anyone else know what his suspension is about?

He was released.

Yes, back at the end of May, when they were playing in Mobile, AL, "someone" didn't show up for BP and that "someone" did not get in trouble for it, not at all... almost like this "someone" had his own rules. He thought that it was not fair that everyone else gets there on time and hits BP do he decided to try to prove a point.... a good one! He didn't participate for BP the next day They suspended him for it. They wouldn't give him his release even though he had asked for it. They finally did not too long ago. What a shame. Good kid.

In response to the above post, I heard that Crew was complaining about playing time (like he should be playing in front those 'slouches' on the team) and asked to be traded or released. Most teams don't usually respond well to these types of requests from org players like Crew. Plus, it wouldn't set a very good example to other players in the org - "Not happy about something? Ask to be released and they'll let you go, just like that!"

So Crew pouted one day and didn't go out to BP, which is like you or me showing up to work and refusing to do what we are paid to do or what our bosses tell us to do. So he gets suspended for it, sent home, and then released a few months later. And from what I've heard, he wasn't a nice kid. More like a turd, to use a family friendly word. But then again, I don't know him, that's just what I heard. Though I would speculate that this type of offense is hardly worth getting released, so I'm sure there's more to the story than what's been let on.

I don't believe he's been picked up by another team.

Organizational soldiers need to be very good and keep their nose clean. Doesn't sound like Crew did either.
