No good. Wise isn't much good after 15 pitches...

EDIT: After Langenhans, maybe they need to bring in someone else to face Chipper... I don't like a Wise post 15 pitches facing Chipper and Andruw.

Way to go, Matt! I can't believe he hung in there and got him. As my old high school coach used to say, "if a guy fouls off 8 pitches on you, you're not gonna fool him...just plunk him."

Pitch 12: called strike.

Now THAT is an at-bat. Man. I'm reminded of Lee's against the Pirates on opening day when he went nine pitches in and then jacked one over the left field wall on #10. Except, you know, for the homerun.

As a pinch hitter, Bill Hall is:

0-4 this year with 3 K's

1-15 with 1BB and 6 K's last year

7-29 with 1BB and 11 K's in 2004

It's not just the extremely low average, its the K's. When you got bases loaded or RISP, there's not ALWAYS going to be 2 outs, and you need to at least make contact.

MATTTTY WISE!! since that mound meeting in game 1 he has looked incredible!

We get our chance with the Scrubs this weekend... Uecker kept saying 3-0, but I'm pretty sure the umpire called a foul tip on the second pitch, but I'm not positive.
