Carpenter to DL?

Wow, thanks for the link. Considering how he's been pitching he's a key to the Cards being in contention. Gotta feel for the guy as he seems to be working hard to come back. It's a shame to see one of the best pitchers in MLB not pitching even if it does hurt the Brewers.

To bad he can probably pitch circles around all our starters right now, even with problems!

But since it's left side, and not throwing arm problems, I doubt he'll be on the DL all season.

Sounds like the dreaded inter-costal/oblique/side injury that's the new rage. There's got to be something with present day training methods that somehow weaken this area and make it vulnerable.

Those type of injuries seem to be much more common lately, hey? It obviously helps the Brewers chances if he's out, but it's hard to root against a guy like that. The article says how bad HE feels over missing time and that he was apologizing for getting hurt.

Carpenter with a torn left oblique.

Possible DL stint. It sounds like he will be rehabbing after a second evaluation next week. In the articles title it says the time table is 4-8 weeks. If that is true Carpenter would be back around the All Star game after a couple of rehab games I'm guessing.
