Whose collecting the magnets this year?

Today is the first day of the magnets. Who is collecting them this year?

I know sgt wants a set - but last year the Journal Sentinel put the full sets up for sale around the holidays. We're going to be on that happening again so we don't have to keep running out to get the magnets, and finding the coupons in the paper.

Since I don't live in southeast Wisconsin, I too will probably spring for the full set later (if they haven't jacked up the price too much).

I'm doing it again this year. It gives me something to do with my son each day. The Miller Park board is huge, and this year they include the entire team. The magnets are nicer too, but they're also a bit more expensive.

Yeah the board is awesome, and the magnets are higher quality this year, probably why the dollar more per one. I probably won't get them all, just the ones I want. They started it off right with Braun yesterday and Gallardo today.

It's cool - but since last year's is just sitting on a shelf and this one has more pieces and is more money, I'm not sure I can justify the $50 or $60 it will cost.

My only complaint so far is that it seems like they recycled some of the artwork from last year

I haven't seen any of the actual magnets yet, but when images of them were displayed on the ribbon board at MP last weekend, I noticed that some of the faces looked no different from last year's set. To be fair, though, some of the Brewers' mug shots on the scoreboard look unchanged from last year, and that seems to be where the magnet makers get the images.

For those of you collecting the magnets this year...today was Bill Hall. It was not advertised in the paper. The magnet was only shown as a bonus with a question mark.

I got the Braun, Fielder, and Yovani magnets and am done - don't really care to get anyone else...unless they add an Escobar.

All you have to do is ask for it. The JS doesn't apparently want to embarrass the player. Whatever that means.

The place I go to didnt have any Bill Hall's...Would you think it's best to keep looking around, or do you have an extra that i could buy from you perhaps....Thanks, I also noticed the JS didnt say who is for tomorrow

Miggs...let me know what you want to do. If you want to try a couple of places first, you can, or I'll get one for you. If you can't find them I can pick one up for you. I just don't want to end up with an extra one.

I have not gotten any of the players so far this week except for Fielder. Bill Hall, pass, Jeff Suppan, pass, Jody Gerut, pass. Tomorrow is McClung, I think I will get him.

Can someone tell me who the magnets were starting with Friday? I was out of town, want to know who I missed.

I can't remember Friday or Sunday, but Saturday was Frank Cat and Monday was Braden Looper.

I went through all my magnets, and found I had doubles of one and missing another. I never really paid attention when they were gotten, as my wife always picked them up for me. Luckily, Pick N Save still had them and I was able to trade them.
