John Buck

With the acquisition of LaRue, he may be available. His stats aren't anything great, but he's young, cheaper, and has shown some improvenment. With a year of Miller's guidance, Buck could be a long term answer. Of course, that could be the Royals thoughts as well.

 

Would people be satisfied if he was acquired instead of Zaun or of the status quo?

 

I guess it would depend on what is would cost. Maybe Jackson for Buck? Or perhaps a larger deal involving Hall (Buck, DeJesus, & Gobble?).

About the only thing Buck really has going for him is that he's young. Otherwise, he's been bad with the bat, and mediocre with the glove. He's never really lived up to his hype/potential, and I'm not sure he's an upgrade at this point.

Not knowing who John Buck is, I thought this thread was going down the path that the Brewers were looking to hire some broadcaster guy from the family name of Buck. I kinda got excited for a tick. My bad!
