According to Espn's winter meetings chat ,the Phillys are making Joe available for cash or relief pitching. He could be a good fit anlong with one of the FA pitchers(Wolf)

It seems to me that Joe Blanton has more value than just simply cash, especially with as poor as this free agent pitching class is rated. I think it's idle speculation versus any real inside rumor/story.
