    For a 50 game suspension don't you need to fail 2 tests? I thought after you fail one, you are given more frequent test and after the 2nd it's a 50 gamer.

    I see the A's made him available and the Marlins are after him. Wonder what it would take to get him? He's had 2 All star years and is a Super 2. If you could sign him to a YO like 4 year deal we'd have a real nice rotation and would only have to sign either Greike or Marcum .

    With a lead this big I kinda wish they'd move Narvason to the bullpen now so he's use to getting warmed up everyday and give Fiers and Wily a couple of starts.

    The Brewers probably won't reach agreement with their first-round picks, Taylor Jungmann and Jed Bradley, before Monday, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel (via Twitter). This would be an epic failure and would really hurt our farm system

    Green should have been up on or about June 1st. That way you have 6 weeks to see if he can play in the bigs. Now we are looking at Betemit and could cost us a decent player.

    The Twins were never a great offensive team. The beat you because they were fundamentally sound and had above average pitching. Last night during the game the announcers said the Twins had the 3rd most errors in the AL. That is a recipe for disaster. It seems like half the team is playing out of position.

    It's only once or twice a week and there are only like 20 home games. I bet for the first few years we'd pull closer to 15k and from there it would depend on the team.

    The Astros announced that they intend to give Bill Hall his unconditional release. They asked for release waivers on Hall and activated infielder Jason Bourgeois from the 15-day disabled list in a related move. The transaction will take effect Monday and if no team claims Hall by Wednesday, he’ll become a free agent and will be able to sign with any team. Last offseason, Hall signed a one-year, $3MM deal that included a $4MM mutual option ($250K buyout) for 2012. The 31-year-old posted a .224/.272/.240 line in 158 plate appearances as Houston's second baseman this year.

    Now McClellan is on the DL also. Right-hander Maikel Cleto, who began the season at Class-A Palm Beach, was recalled by the St. Louis Cardinals to take the roster spot of injured Matt Holliday. The Cardinals are going with 13 pitchers, placing Holliday on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Wednesday, with a left quadriceps strain. Pitcher Kyle McClellan has been placed on the DL, retroactive to Monday, with a left hip strain. The 22-year-old Cleto throws consistently in the high 90s and is 2-2 with a 2.53 ERA at Palm Beach and Double-A Springfield. The Cardinals also purchased the contract of 24-year-old right-hander Lance Lynn from Triple-A Memphis. Lynn was set to make his major league debut Thursday against the Giants.

    What about Jamey Carroll? He's got no power but gets on at a .375 clip and a .315 BA. He's 37 and in the last year of his contract so maybe we can get him for a AAA reliever or something. his wrar the last couple of years were 2.8,1.7 and 2.1.

    Like I said totally unlikely. But if the mets wanted to dump salary and we added in a few more guys who knows. They've made some bad moves in the past so whats one more

    mlbtraderumors.com has David Wright as a trade candidate. So I say we try and fix the whole left side of our infield and trade for both Wright and Reyes. We could offer them something like Mcgee, Narveson or Estrada and one of out high A pitchers. Plus if they want a SS back give them Betancourt. This iwould give them a ton of savings and a cheap 3rd baseman and pitcher for 3 more years plus a prospect. Could they get a better deal somewhere else? Possibility but this would keep them from totally falling off while they rebuild .

    It's not that bad. I made it though basic training in San Antonio. I was there the hottest 2 months of the year. July and August. Just drink alot of water and stay out of the sun for prolong periods of time.

    The Wave and MLS are 2 totally different things. That's like saying a NFL team wouldn't make it here because the arena league teams couldn't make it here. People will go to see a professional team. I'd pay to see Beckham and Henry even in their twilight.
