Well, considering Gamel struck out looking last night, it might be another week before he gets another AB. Jeffress pitching is much more likely to happen I would imagine.

Prince's home run was awesome to listen to on the radio. You could hear the collective gasp from the crowd. You wouldn't even have to see it to know it was a ridiculous moonshot.

Heads up baserunning by Rickie to get into second on that play, seeing how deep Francisco was playing. Nice production by the top of the order so far today.

Good game so far.

Burnitz the answer to the trivia question today. He was a pretty darn good player, I think very underrated. Sure he was on some awful teams, but without him those teams would have been a whole lot worse.

Agreed on Burnitz, BC2004. Probably one of my favorite all-time Brewers, and one of the few bright spots from those late-90s teams. Kind of disappointed they didn't bring him back for 90s night.

And they got him at a steal. All they gave up was Kevin Seitzer to Cleveland.

In retrospect those mid to late 90's teams weren't half bad. They had a couple of years right around .500 with some really strong offense, and respectable defense. In potentially an almost frightening way the difference between the late 2000's teams and late 90's teams could very well be one well placed trade for Sabathia. Our rotation has been pretty uninspiring, but a slagged Eldred was about the best that group had to offer.

Randy Wolf recorded his 1500th career strikeout today. Too bad it couldn't have come earlier in the season, but nice for him.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I blame the shadows for Inglett not scoring a runner there. That was just a good 3-2 pitch.

Nice job by Wolf. Hopefully the bullpen can hold the lead in this one.
