Yo hasn't hit the glove but a couple of times all inning... every pitch is high, wide, or right down the middle.

The Sox announcers make a good point--Gallardo has now surrendered 12 1st inning runs in 2011, the most of any inning. The stats show this has been a trend throughout his career.

Edit: make that 14

Will the laid back Roenicke melt down over the strike zone? It's been brutal all series.

I cant remember so many high strikes called ever.

Well, Happy Father's Day to me, right?

I don't normally give up so early, but it might be time to switch my Virginia Cavaliers from ESPN3.com to the TV.

Ugh.......

Well for one, Yo is certainly not getting the same strikezone that Wakefield got in his half, but that doesn't account for his terrible location so far.

He's got to know that with Marcum only going an inning Friday night that he might be stuck eating a few innings here no matter what.

EDIT: and I see Mitre up in the pen.

Always a good sign in the first inning.

So bad starts happen, but the odds of Greinke, Marcum and Gallardo having starts like this back-to-back-to-back are not very good and very annoying. At least Wolf stepped up big yesterday.

Well, a silver lining is that if Kotsay is in center the inning still continues because he doesn't catch that ball Gomez just caught?
