Rumor is that Jarmillo is coming home. Not a world beater, but decent defender. Maybe the crew decides they don't need Kottares' bat off the bench, so having a good defensive catcher is a good idea.

 

That said, we seem to have a glut of AAAA catchers.

Not sure why we need another catcher. We already will have Maldonado and Rivera in AAA. And Kottaras isn't going anywhere. If he was, Maldonado would take his spot and Phillips would take the spot in AAA.

Does George Kottarras have any trade value whatsoever? If so, with the catching depth we have might it be a good idea to move him?

Jaramillo will be the starter at Huntsville according to McCalvy and Haudricourt via Gord Ash. Rivera's job is in jeopardy. Phillips will likely backup at AAA, and de la Rosa at AA.
