Saw Mat's pic at the top of Yahoo. Funny story. He's out with his family at the Blue Sombrero in Brookfield. A fan thinks they are taking a secret pic of Mat. But he gets back at them by posting a pic of them online.

 

Good to see he's in good spirits.

Is this the same Blue Sombrero near the La Quinta Inn off of Barker and Bluemound? I normally there when im in town and have been to the Blue Sombrero numerous times. Never knew ballplayers frequent the place.

That's the place. I live about five minutes down the road and have never seen any other ballplayers there.

I bumped into Ben Sheets - literally - coming out of TGI Fridays on Bluemound about 5 years ago. He was injured (natch), and I asked him not to tell me the score of the game vs. Houston that night as I had DVR'ed it. "I wouldn't bother watching it", he said, about the heavy defeat!
