Helena affiliation extended through 2014

Here's an article in which Casper, Wyoming (which lost their Rockies Pioneer League franchise to Grand Junction, Colorado) is mentioned as a future home of the Helena Brewers.

One reason this may not be an ideal situation for the league down the road is the Pioneer League as currently configured is split among four northern-based and four more southern-based affiliates.

 

But it is worth keeping an eye on.

i plan on trying to get to some Helena games this summer. Missoula is much closer, but Casper would kill any chance of going to games

Brewers extend affiliation with rookie Helena

 

“We are excited to extend our player development contract with the Helena franchise,” farm director Reid Nichols said in a statement.

 

Well, they're tied to the franchise, we'll see if the franchise is tied to Helena.

But it (Casper) is worth keeping an eye on.
