Just read this on MLB Trade Rumors:

 

"Nick Delmonico, who came to the Brewers in last year’s Francisco Rodriguez trade, was suspended 50-games for a positive drug test, tweets Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com."

Amphetamine according to the hometown paper. Nice way to cap off a disappointing season I guess.

I was not aware of his background. . .youngest son of a prominent baseball coach, 4-time state champion. . .then a few years later to have seemingly come off the rails, get suspended and have it reported in your hometown paper. This is a pretty low point in his life. Hope he is able to get well and put this behind him.
