A's acquired De La Rosa for cash considerations and DFA'd Fernando Rodriguez to make room. Rodriguez wouldn't be arm to take a flier on. He put up nice numbers out of the pen in Sacramento last year.

how about nick maronde? he's a lefty, put up good numbers in the minors, and was dfa'd a couple days ago by Cleveland.
