Yunel Escobar for Tyler Clippard

I need a flowchart or something. Does Semien play SS for the A's or is there another deal in the works?

Clippard is the return. It wasn't long ago that expensive relievers were considered foolish and old school. Of course maybe Clippard is headed to Toronto or another team... I think I'm getting vertigo

Trading players before they get an official jersey is the new market inefficiency. Or maybe the GMs have started getting paid on commission for each transaction.

Billy Beane at it again. When will it stop? I hope it doesn't... EXCITING!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

They must have one more LH or switch infielder coming in, you'd think.

Actually, Scooter for Clippard makes a lot of sense except for the salary part. Well, it doesn't make sense to me, but there are only a handful of MLB LH infielders and I can almost guarantee Oakland is going after them.

I'm not sure there's been a MLB the Show game where I have not traded for Tyler Clippard. As much as I'd want him on the Brewers, giving up Scotter would not be an option for that trade.

Yeah, that wasn't as feasible now that I look at it. Brewers would have to be taking on payroll there and Zobrist cannot shoulder as much of the load at SS as that would require. Maybe Zobrist 33%, Sogard 33%, Semien 33% at SS if that trade happened.

Oakland needs/wants another LH infielder, though.

Cubs traded for Tommy La Stella without a seeming need. Maybe they want him as a trade commodity. Cubs also have Luis Valbuena who can play 2nd. I hope you're wrong bhA.

I'm almost for sure wrong. I was just throwing an idea out there and saw a Brewers blog discussing how the A's, Brewers, Jays, and Nats were going to be active today. Completely throwing that up against the wall, but there is something to the idea that Oakland, unless they are confident in several AA/AAA guys, will be dealing for a LH hitting infielder.
