Villar's tailed off considerably the last month. He does have 5 HR this month but he's batting just .175 in September and he's 4 for his last 40. It's probably a little early to tell just what kind of player he'll be going forward. It could be he's just worn down after a long season.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about Villar. He's never played this much in a season and I think he's just worn out like you said.

 

Still, 16+ HR, .800+ OPS, and presumably, the stolen base title, not too shabby for an age 25 season.

He's played almost every day all season, wouldn't surprise me if he was just a little worn down. Might also be a little preoccupied with his desire to get on base and get more stolen bases.

 

We'll see how he starts next year.
