Link Report for Wednesday 7/19

Yep...final line for Ortiz...'6 innings 0 runs 1 hit 0 walks 6 ks

Oh course he'd pitch great tonight after I make a post about him being the 5th best pitcher in system....

Now call him the 10th best! :)

Ortiz's main problem is his endurance. Weight might have some implications to that, but injuries have more. He needs to stay healthy and get his innings up. I think that is one reason why his results are sporadic - endurance. But most scouting reports are very high on his abilities, which is why the scouting lists have him higher rated. High ceiling/low floor type pitcher.

Granted with some of the new reports of Burnes' FB, Ortiz might legitimately drop not due to his performance at all. I'm still not putting Peralta in this group however. High K rate is interesting, but I wonder if he has enough pitches to stay an SP. Or if he will need to move to the BP.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
