Good win! Come on Dodgers.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I thought it was weird how much Knebel was pitching around guys, it seemed like the calls from Pina in fairness. That said, I felt like Knebel hit his spots better today than he has since he came back from injury. The results weren't pretty, but this seems like an outing he can build on. Had solid command of both pitches.

Pina set up about a foot off the outside edge on a 1-1 pitch. Knebel hit the glove and was 2-1. Seemed like they gave away what most view as the most important count. It was never going to get a swing that far off.

It’s all good I guess, got the W.

Freddy Peralta now has 25 strikeouts in three career starts. That is the most by a pitcher through three career starts in @Brewers history.

Cubs manage to win game 2 of their doubleheader tonight in 10 - couldn't figure out why Morrow wasn't used at all today considering a 9th inning blown lead in game 1 and extras in game two...then I read he got back spasms while taking off his pants after he got home the other night after their last game in STL.

They are already without Carl Edwards in their pen - being stuck with an unavailable closer due to a balky back really thins out the late inning relief they've leaned on to close out games.

I found it funny how Cubs fans talked up how good their bullpen is. How depth and injuries didn't matter because on paper they had guys that projected for high WAR. Now they have 4 guys in their bullpen that I've never heard from and pitching in key spots. I can't imagine they'll be able to get away with it for much longer.

The Cubs have put their closer, Morrow, on the 10 day DL with tightness in his back. He hurt it taking his pants off!!
