I'm being pessimistic the rest of the year.

Can you please not, it's such a cop-out

Fine. I see Guerra turning it around right now, striking everyone out the rest of the game and the offense putting up 30 runs. This team might not lose another game this year.

Why do you insist on telling everyone how to conduct themselves in a game thread?

It's great that you're able to remain optimistic even when things aren't going well. Not everyone is that way. Some people get frustrated and vent. Happens. Worse things than doing it on a message board.

No way Hamilton doesn't steal 2nd

Edit - unless the next two hitters only take one pitch - which really saves Guerras pitch count.

And it's awesome that we get 70% negativity on pretty much every game thread, despite having the best record in the NL. You guys must be a thrill ride at parties "yeah, sure, I'm having the time of my life, but one day we'll all be dead, so there's that..."

Yeah, you getting on everyone's case every game when you don't like something they post and the constant sarcasm and 'you guys must be a thrill ride at parties' and similar putdowns has been so much more enjoyable.

In game threads are known for "venting" threads.

You can't dictate everyone else's behavior based on your thoughts and wishes.

That will never work here.

This is a sports message board, not a church gathering, let boys be boys please.

Thames needs to step it up with all the injuries. Has not looked good either offensively nor defensively.

100% agree. If he can't contribute offensively, he is useless to this line-up.

When you've been a Brewers fan for as long as I have and have seen mostly disappointment from them, including meltdowns in 07 and 14, you kinda expect the worst to happen.

This game is over I am afraid. Unless Jesus is going to hit one out of course. At a certain point teams are just going to pitch around him. Who else scares anyone?

For all the hell that Pina catches on here, Thames is only hitting 15 points higher than him. Sure, his power and OPS are more respectable, but so far Thames is not someone you can expect to deliver. Add to that he's a terrible outfielder and it's probably a good time to put him on the trading block and see what you can get for him while teams are still enamored with his power.

Really Jesus is the lone stud on our team offensively. Then yelich and Cain have been steady...then trash. Not good. Shaw is pretty bad. Thames bad. Braun washed.

Thames had 107 ABs going into tonight's game and he's been back from the DL for about 2 weeks now. He might deserve a little more time before giving up on him.

[sarcasm]No. He sucks. Terrible. All these guys are worthless human beings except Aguilar.[/sarcasm]

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'm not giving up on him. Far from it. Just saying he really needs to step it up. This offense even at full strength is very inconsistent and now with the walking wounded, someone like Thames really needs to step it up.
