That was terrible base running by both of our runners. If Barnhart was smart there was a good chance they get two outs. Arcia was going to third when he probably shouldn’t have and Broxton was a dead duck at 3rd if Barnhart threw the ball.

 

Maybe an intentional pickle? But not sure there.

Why do you say bad baserunning by Arcia? Isn't it assumed the lead runner should stay in the pickle as long as possible and the following runner to advance to his base?

 

And then obviously when he sees that Broxton will get back to third that's when you run back to second.
