Well that was a disappointing inning that may come back to haunt them tonight. I hate piling on the new guy, but he has really hurt them by giving awful at-bats in the #4 spot in the order.

Early returns on the Schoop trade not looking good. He looks like Arcia up there....

Schoop is swinging at some pitches not very close to the strike zone.

 

Like Arcia, Schoop seems to be constantly down 0-2, 1-2.

 

That last AB was probably his best one so far as a Brewer, sadly.

It’s great that he was hot for the Orioles but Schoop probably needs to be moved down in the order until he gets comfortable.

 

On a plus, he helped rack up Kershaws pitch count. 52 pitches through 3 innings is nice.

.ouch. Especially against a guy like Kershaw when you just don't know if you'll even get another chance.

Ouch. I remember someone posting Schoop's reaction to being traded, and it wasn't great. Moustakas seemed ecstatic to be here, Schoop not so much. I think the trade clearly had an effect on him. Hopefully he can settle in. Edited August 3, 2018 by wildcat83
