Timber Rattlers (and Brewers) yet to make any kind of move on RHP Justin Bullock (potential serious elbow injury), Wisconsin has been going with a 12-man staff and in effect a 24-man roster this week.

So I guess that's non-news news.

RHP Tristan Archer will turn 29 years old (and a minor league free agent) this October. Hopefully he'll find demand, and if his agent can guide him to Detroit, ChiSox, Royals, etc., we can #FreeTristanArcher.

Nearly seven seasons of 1.28 WHIP service for the former 21st round pick (including 94 appearances in a Sky Sox uniform).

Supak's Seven Strong Lift Shuckers To Fifth Straight Win

Trey Supak is listed at 6'5", 240, and it's not unfair to say or shaming that it's not a chiseled physique. But it certainly works for him, and unlike former farmhand Luis Ortiz (Ortiz is 6'3" and is struggling again, by the way), Trey, save for one tiny 7-day stay last August, has avoided injured list stints.

Nate Griep's last 10 games:

12 IP 3 H 1 ER 2 BB 14 K

What does Griep have to do to get a promotion? He's allowed just 11 HR in 174 appearances as a pro.

That's my only gripe or is it griep?

I agree, he does nothing but get outs, and it seems they have even taken the closer role partially away from him and given it to Barker.

Griep’s command has improved a notch this season. Prior to this year, I wasn’t convinced of his viability due to command problems and mechanical over-tweaking. I still don’t think he’s more than a low leverage bullpen arm, but that’s an improvement.

I still have Barker way ahead of him, though, so I don’t disagree with giving Luke more high leverage innings.
