Trade Hiura.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Unfortunately Hiura is probably on his way to becoming a career DH. Sigh...

:laughing DHs know how to hit, dude better start hitting if he even wants to be an MLB player period.

I went to get a snack for my daughter. What happened on the Hiura play?

Somewhat similar to the Bill Buckner error in the World Series, although Buckner had much better fielding technique on his attempt.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Ground ball to first and he was either anticipating a bounce that never came or was looking way to far ahead and thinking of turning a double play. Basically he took a step to his left and bent over a bit and the ball went right under his glove.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Gotta consider taking Hijra out late for defensive replacement...

If a guy has to be taken out in the 6th inning.....a first baseman no less.....he shouldn’t really be on your roster.

Well that was a break

How does one jump back into fair play and get hit by ball? Really think the ball was hit by player in foul area... close.

Might be the first time in his career Daniel Vogelbach could be considered a defensive replacement.

Hiura is a train wreck on defense whether it is fielding or throwing. Changing positions and all the time in the world will undoubtedly never change that.

Well, he is.... and with a lead late, defensive liabilities shouldn’t be in.

A couple more swings like that and Bradley might get his average into triple digits.

It’s a battle to see who will get there first, Bradley or Hiura.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

He was clearly standing in foul territory... I'm assuming the ump felt that the ball was in fair territory when it hit him (i.e. body part leaning into fair ground)?
