Get some damn hitters Stearns.

Enough is enough

This. The Bradley signing was a massive flop. If the crew wants to compete they need to acquire some hitters.

Do we have a pinch hitter available? Because Vogelbach against Garrett isn't going to end in our favor.

Vogelbach was pulled from the game on a double switch earlier.

Sorry, I was watching the Bucks be the Bucks.

Using Hader in the 9th tonight turns out to be a waste and now he’s pitched 4 of the past 5 days. I still maintain that I’d rather they saved him for a potential 10th inning in these late inning tie games.

These guys still rely on "conventional wisdom", and conventional wisdom was/is "home team uses their closer in the 9th inning of a tie game"

That paradigm has changed now..... or at least it should. If your closer is a big 14+ k/9 guy, and you don't have another one for the 10th, when there's automatically a runner on, I think it makes more sense (as you've pointed out) to use the high K rate pitcher for the runner on situation. I know, "you have to get there", but IMO at least, I feel like the conventional wisdom on this should shift a bit.
