It’s been nice to see Eric Lauer have a solid performance today. Sophia interviewed him in the pregame about his father passing away in July of 2019 and he said today’s Father’s Day start was going to have extra meaning for him. He showed her that he wears a necklace with a dog tag style piece that has his dad’s finger print and reads “Dad”. Sometimes it’s easy to forget the human side of things for guys when they’re struggling, and it’s certainly nice to see him doing well this afternoon.
