If Avi goes up with the same approach as Jace in his AB we've got 2 on and nobody out getting into the Reds pen already with no one in the 6th.

Castillo's command is shot and Avi flat out handed him an out.

Peterson regardless of the results always has good at bats. Most of the lineup can learn a thing or two watching him hit.

He was pretty horrible until becoming a Brewer. To what would you attribute his success in Milwaukee?

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Avi has generally been pretty good this year. That at-bat looked like 2020 though.

Reds so far - 8 doubles and 1 single

Brewers so far - 3 singles and 6 walks

Pretty similar numbers but the one extra base hit was enough to be the difference so far

Rowdy was a waste of an acquisition if they really think Hiura should continue to pinch hit for him.

Yeah, I thought Rowdy had reverse splits, so he should have stayed in there

Why pinch hit Hiura when he Ks 40% if the time even if it’s a match up change

The textbook Somehow I Manage by Michael Scott Ron Roenicke says you must.

JBJ- well done sir!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I don't get the scoreboard. Yes I know it's 90s weekend or whatever but why have a giant scoreboard look like complete garbage?

I'd expect nothing less than that atrocious AB from Keston. You might as well just let Rowdy try to hit lefties. He does have reverse splits.

This is our achillies heel late in close games we are trailing.

?? Not nearly as much as late in not close games we are trailing...

JBJ needed that badly, and fantastic sequence by Jace to put himself in position to score.

Nice to see Woodruff off the hook, who has been a victim of poor run support numerous times this year.

If Hiura continues to do what he just did, that won't continue.

I agree but Keston is also 3 for 9 in the series with a walk. It’s not like he’s been just awful.

Looks like the County Stadium "video" board circa 1994. Complete with the pixelated player photos. Cheesy, but whatever I guess.
