Sure looked to me like Soler went around on that 1-2 before smacking a single to center, but thanks to Bally Sports not showing the replay, we'll never know.

Woodruff does not have his best stuff tonight.

And we gave him 1 in run support so he cant complain

Woodruff does not have his best stuff tonight. Leadoff walks often will hurt you.

Glad we’re not in the East and have to deal with that Braves lineup 20 times a year. But yeah, him and Burnes both struggled.

For sure. The Braves lineup is loaded.

Weird that Adames struggles so badly against lefties. I didn't realize til tonight how extreme his reverse splits are, not just this season but his entire career.

How cool is it that you say this on a guy who has 53strikes in 73 pitches and giving up on 1 run in 4IP? If the offense here could just stop watching strikes go by with runners on, and score some runs you'd shrug your shoulders.

OK cool, they let a pitch hit them while we avoid 3 that would have.

Don't get me wrong, Woodruff's "not best" stuff is still better than most guys best.

Defense matters. I love a good hitting the cut play and getting an out at home. Great stuff.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Braves pitchers are clearly targeting the outside corner, knowing full well that Bucknor is dumb and has been giving several inches off the outside corner all night.

Taylor has to tag up on that. If he drops it/it's over his head he scores walking in.

Some good hustle be Pina down the line. :rolleyes

I hate hacking 3-0. If you're going to do it you has better make better contact than that.

While Woodruff is a nice hitter for a P, he is still pretty bad, and there already are 2 outs. That is the exact time an 8 hitter needs to hack on 3-0. Especially since Pina has been seeing it well lately.

EDIT: If a PH is a foregone conclusion, then, sure, take on 3-0. It wasn't though.
