I’ll be ok with Anderson being gone next year. Lauer and small taking over the back end of the rotation makes me feel a lot better compared to the injury man

Need an easy inning from Anderson here.

I am getting way too worked up about a still fairly meaningless August baseball game.

Does back to back base hits qualify as that?

Anderson has been fantastic this season. Today isn’t his day. Hope he can minimize the damage here.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I know last inning wasn't really all his fault, but Anderson is not sharp today. Wouldn't have been a bad idea to take a shot at the lead w/RISP last AB and go to the pen early rather than try to squeeze more out of him.

We are just at the point in the season where losing a game to the lowly Pirates will throw us into completely irrational fears of a collapse. But not loving how this is going, 7 inning games are much better for us with the big 3 going.

Ehh, he gave up hard contact and fell behind hitters last inning too. There were a couple of slowly hit balls but he wasn't very good last inning either.

Eh, Anderson has been fine. Good, even. Peralta, Burnes, and Woodruff have been fantastic.

His FIP is 4.5.

Well now the reverse sets in, I’d obviously be a lot more confident about a potential comeback today if this was a 9-inning game.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Yes, thank you. This more or less supports what I said. Anderson has been fine.

Cousins just can’t throw a strike. Thankfully Moran is up here swinging at everything. I like our chances if we can hold it to a 2 run lead

Edit: nice job getting the dp. Now hit that pen hard boys!
