Practice on Saturday, 6/24?

Anyone interested? It would be in the late-morning, I imagine. 10:00, 11:00? Or later? 1:00? It might be especially good for some of our potential pitchers to get some practice.

In addition to pitching practice, many of us have used Fever's magic bat all season long. Taking some cuts with the other bats would probably be a good idea too.

I defiantely would be up for it. I need someone to hit a couple dozen fly balls my way - I'm just not 100% comfortable out there yet as everyone could tell from last night.

 

11:00 would work better for me, but I could make 10. I have someone coming in at 9 to install a trophy case and I don't want my wife home alone.

Houlie and I hit it up this morning. We pitched to each other while my wife caught. Then we did OF practice.

 

I'm getting a little better with the pitching, but still kinda iffy. Not as many deep balls and flat balls as Thursday. Maybe 50/50 right now.

I'm using a new glove. Is it possible that I'm dropping balls because it's not broken in yet?

That for sure could have alot to do with it. I bought a new glove this year, just so I could break it in for next year. Man I hate breaking in new gloves!

This is softball. They make gloves the size of a garbage can these days, maybe the one you're using is too small. If I remember correctly the glove you've got seems like a baseball glove.

My glove is smaller than others because I have small hands. Turns out my glove is the same size as valpocrewsader's.

 

Is there any kind of oil or something out there one can use to rub into the leather to soften it up?
