    I'm pretty confident she wasn't some sort of hitman for hire that these people seemed to stumble upon. If I had to guess, I would say she was coerced or manipulated somehow into doing this. (And this is assuming that she's actually the person who had their gun jam and/or came back later and fired shots into the house).

    The whole thing just feels surreal to me. I actually know Aimee from all the time she spent in Milwaukee supporting the local DJ scene. I can tell you one thing... If you were to ask me which of my friends would become an international assassin, the LAST person I would think of would be Aimee. Of course, you never REALLY know a person and I haven't in person since she left Milwaukee. But she's commented and liked things of mine on Facebook and vice versa on occasion and nothing struck me as being odd. I think the last time we messaged directly was back in 2017, well before all this allegedly started. I really hope there's some sort of explanation for this, because the thought of this being real is sort of breaking my brain.

    I have fond memories of that day where we were at 5%. In June. Our current 35% is insane. I don't think it's from lack of testing capacity. Apparently Wisconsinites are just stubborn.

    There was a migration to new DNS servers by our "main" host (the one that hosts our "main site" and email, and also the one that tells your browser what IP address "forum.brewerfan.net" resolves to). The migration should have been transparent to us, and we shouldn't have seen any downtime. From them: "It seems that migration has been done, but there was a post-migration issue on your website which caused the downtime." So, that's as specific as they got. Whatever the case may be, we're back up now. And i'll probably begin exploring ways to move what we need from that host to our forum host or something more robust.

    I'm going to try to get to the bottom of what happened. Be assured that it wasn't anything that we did on our end that caused the outage.

If you like baseball deep dives into statistical analysis (if you're here, you probably do), the stylings of 8/16-bit retro games, and can appreciate humor, you probably need to watch all the videos this guy has put out. If you play OOTP Baseball, he does a bunch of let's-plays and tutorials on that as well. The statistical extrapolation he does in analyzing Willie Mays's "The Catch" is particularly creative:

    Well, that was a nightmare. My main website provider double-billed me and then a day or 2 later, their entire business seems to have vanished. Brewerfan.net was unreachable, the provider's website (including all means of troubleshooting, reporting issues, etc) has been down, and even their phone number that I had to scour the Earth for has been giving a busy signal for the last 24 hours. They're not responding to email either. So, I've pointed forum.brewerfan.net to a different DNS server (the one that is owned by Dreamhost, the company that hosts the forums), and we're back in business, at least as far as the forums go. I'll be trying to figure out what to do with the rest of the site. Unfortunately, all of that data lives in the database that's hosted by my provider (MMAWeb) that wen't AWOL. I'm hoping that this is related to some sort of catastrophe. Although the fact that they double-billed me for my current month and then vanished into thin air seems like a bit of a red flag. Anyways.     Yep, Schilling was outstanding from '90-'92. But that's only knowing what I know now. The rotation of Bosio, Higuera, Navarro and Filer were pretty good... whereas Bates & Polidor wouldn't have filled in very well for Gantner.

    So here's what's been up with me... I kinda dropped out of sight in 2009 as I was going through a pretty nasty divorce. Focused a lot of my time dealing with that. Then after that, kind of felt like I needed something new and challenging to work on. Felt like I took Brewerfan.net about as far as I could take it. Ended up DJing underground house music in my free time. Been doing that since 2009 and working my way "up the ranks", so to speak. Spinning different clubs around the midwest now (still mainly as a hobby, as it doesn't pay the bills). Working full time as a consultant, doing software engineering (actually working about 20 feet away from Robin19 [or whatever his username is now]). Keeping busy, having a good time. Really impressed that Brewerfan.net is still doing its thing after almost 14 years now. It's a testament to the dedication of the staff, moderators, and you, the posters. I would very much like to get back into the swing of things a little, at least to transition the full site to someone else so there's not "dead parts" of the site anymore. Time's kind of a precious commodity for me these days... but I haven't forgotten about everybody
