Looks like Levine is out tonight.

Who does he think he is? Bobby Simmons?

Caruso is also out with a concussion. Hopefully, Antetokounmpo scores 50 tonight. And I mean Thanasis...

How the heck do the Nets get swept? They were literally 2" away from probably winning the Championship last year. Sure they didn't have Harden, but they didn't really have him last year, either.

A lesson in how assembling a super team can backfire. Have to admit ... seeing the Nets and Lakers stumble this year was pretty awesome.

I still don't understand why they traded Harden for essentially nothing. Actually they traded him for a negative, as no one can tell me that the Ben Simmons drama didn't negatively affect that team.

Harden is pretty much cooked & eligible for an insane supermax after this year at like 50 million per which Philly likely has no choice but to give him. He's more or less Westbrook in waiting, but at least with a little higher skill level to fall back on.

If Simmons ever gets back on the floor he's a pretty good fit in theory next to KD/Kyrie. His defense/rebounding is much more useful than the corpse of Blake Griffin or the KD with 4 point guard lineups they had out there at points.

Even if the Bucks repeat with a 4 game sweep in the Finals I won't be surprised at all when the media declares the Nets the East favorites next year.

This was a fun read:

So as the new season draws near, which teams have the best chance of raising the Larry O’Brien Trophy in 2022?

To no surprise, the Nets lead the way among preseason NBA championship favorites with +225 odds, according to our partner, PointsBet.

Behind Brooklyn is the Los Angeles Lakers with +350 title odds. The 2020 NBA champions were doomed by an Anthony Davis injury in a first-round playoff loss to the runner-up Phoenix Suns.

There’s a sizable gap between the Lakers and the team with the next-best title odds, which is the defending champions at +800.

Bucks took care of business. On to Boston. Man, that's a whole other kind of series upcoming. Boston has been playing the best basketball in the East for near 2-3 months. The Bucks better come to play their A game. Looking forward to it.

Yeah, the Heat & to a lesser extent the 76ers (or please let the Raptors through) are solid teams, but I feel like Celtics vs Bucks will be the “real” ECF kind of like Nets vs Bucks was last year.

I remember after the Bucks won the title last year, Nets fans were out en masse on twitter, that night, declaring themselves 2022 champs already.

Like others have said..... building a superteam does not guarantee a championship.

There were people lamenting the Lakers getting Westbrook and wondering how the Lakers would be stopped after amassing that amount of talent.

I was 99% certain the Westbrook deal would blow up in thier face.  Too many guys that need the ball in their hands.
