The Cardinals might not have a great bullpen in general, but in this series they have delivered somethjng like 13 scoreless innings while allowing just 3 Brewer hits.

It seems like either the Cardinals bullpen is pretty good, or the Brewers hitters are pretty weak, or both.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Both stars with good contact vs him in the game already too.   The old 3rd time through the lineup issue.  Fresh pen tonight, yea I could see the argument to go to the pen early and get this win locked in

Key to the game. Not gonna be hindsight message-board guy, but Lauer should NOT have faced Arenado after walking Goldschmidt. Throw out past history, throw out analytics. All you had to see was the first two ABs between them tonite. The thing is, he's used Kelley in situations that weren't super-clutch, but semi-important, to the chagrin of some on here. The other option was Boxberger an inning early, but the way we roll it never even entered my thought process.

Should've used Kelley as an opener to get through Arenado.  Lauer isn't going to go 8IP against the Cardinals, and the HR in the first hurt them just as much as the HR in the 6th.
