A good opportunity this weekend for the Brewers to start to reverse the mediocrity of the last two months. 

 It’s going to take better performances and/or some deadline roster improvements to get the Brewers into the playoffs.

Judging by his Instagram, I would expect Hiura to be recalled alongside Taylor being activated. Doesn't seem like a guy who's heading to Nashville. One roster spot already open with Alexander having been optioned, which would leave a Davis option or a Severino DFA as the other likely corresponding move. Either move would be perfectly acceptable to me at this point.

I believe Hiura would have to wait another day before his 10 days are up. Davis would also have to be DFA instead of optioned if they go that route.

Burnes has been off from the beginning. Getting to 70 pitches and isn’t out of the third inning yet. Not able to put hitters away. 
 

This might be one of the risks of giving a pitcher over a week in between starts. He might be rested but not sharp after getting out of the routine.

I've lost track Of Hiura's final AAA option status. Did he move to MLB status when put on the taxi squad? What is the 10 day wait you're talking about?

Clearly Corbin doesn't have it tonight so it would be nice if this offense can pick him up for once.

It’s best to just accept fate and lean into it. Yelich is here and probably won’t ever be great again. The best we can hope for is passing as an MLB starter and he’s doing that.
