Comparing the 2 pitchers, ESPN, for the 1st time, gives AZ a 64% chance to win. Can't wait to see CC's lineup today, wonder if he might finally give Keston a day of rest.

It’s hard to imagine a worse pitching matchup for the Brewers than this one.

Alexander is what he is, while Gallen is the DBacks ace. and, unlike some other aces, he has been the best SP in MLB over the last month,  and one of the best for the whole season. He has not allowed a run in his last 5 starts and has gone 7 full innings in 4 of them, and into the 8th in one of those. He might have a field day against the strikeout happy Brewers lineup.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

CC's lineup out. No break for Keston, he's DHing. 0-3 with 3 SO's in 1 AB against Gallen. Lots of SO's by others. Only person to get a hit was Wong with a HR.

I’m in a Fantasy matchup this week against a team that has Gallen. I have no SP today and am leading by 1 win and 10 Ks.

I will be cheering every Brewers hitter who doesn’t K, and would love it if they could keep him from picking up a win. Unfortunately, I suspect 10 Ks for the Brewers is on the low side.

Wow, CC is finally getting it. He not only has Hiura in the lineup, but he's also finally surrounded him with RH hitters.

Also, it might be too late, but CC has finally realized McCutchen is a scrub.

I wonder if Attanasio has finally loosened the reigns?

Gallen has been awesome, but he's due fit a let down.

If I had to pick one thing this team does well it might be late inning magic.

They have come off the deck late quite a few times it seems.

Asked U yesterday, do U get your lineup info from the ESPN/MLB site like I do?

I get the lineups from the Brewers website (MLB.com).  :)

My theory would be that late inning relievers are more predictable and more limited in terms of pitch selection.

Brewers don't have many true contact hitters that can succeed against guys with a good pitch variety.

Interesting that they’re starting Ruiz over Mitchell against a RH starter. I did like what I saw from Ruiz last night even though he went hitless.

Very small sample but Mitchell has struck out almost 50% of his ABs thus far. He has looked overmatched against some of the better pitchers he's faced IMO.  Good news for him is he will figure it out.  He started out pretty slow at AA this year too and really improved after his return from injury. He just needs a bit more seasoning.

I was of the opinion, like many here, that Frelick was the most major league ready bat of the AAA prospects and thought he would have the best chance to help out offensively.

Trivia - Zac Gallen was one of two pitchers likely to finish in the top 10 in the Cy Young vote this year who were packaged together in a trade.  Without looking, who was the other pitcher, what team were they traded from, and who were they traded for?

A Gallen of celebratory drink after the win today will be in order for Brewers fans!

While we are still in the standings chasin', I like me some good ole' Jason!

So, does Taylor possibly have a couple more HR's left in him?

Yes, if you're talking about the rest of his career, or even the rest of the season.
