There needs to be a vetting process done before you can submit an article. Some of the articles I have read on here involved little to no research and were just awful to be frank. If I wanted that kind of content, there are other sites to visit.

We're actually implementing a few changes after the deadline regarding articles.

But sometimes, people are gonna write some clunkers. We believe in fostering young/inexperienced writers, it's part of our mission statement.

And sometimes, those writers are gonna lay an egg. We're going to work to cut down on some of the most egregious issues - this is our first year with three sites and the deadline has gotten a little out of hand - but at this site's core, it's about building a community and giving voices to those who wish to be heard. And with that comes some bumps and bruises along the way.

I get it with 3 websites that it must be tough and I have no issues with fans of other teams writing these articles. However, there needs to be some research and integration into the team you are writing about so that you have some idea what you are talking about. 

Also, giving the platform to just anyone is going to cause frustrations. One of your most frequent writers is a Brewers fan, but is known for his bizarre takes like moving Braun to SS and 3B, even up until he was ready to retire. While long tenured members may shrug it off, new visitors to the website are going to think the membership is mostly idiots.

Fair enough. As I said but maybe didn't word strongly enough, we're going to change some things in the coming days. One of them is to take a bit more of a breather and be able to edit some pieces more fully. I admit that I have been glossing over content FAR more than I should during the editing process and will work harder to change that going forward. We've been introducing a ton of new voices lately and getting them on-boarded and up to speed has made us a little too lax about the content itself.

But thank you for the feedback, seriously, I need to be reminded what I'm missing at times and this is definitely a thing I've been missing.

Right now, there are 14 of 27 thread titles on the main page that are articles.

It's just too much.

I'm to the point now where I am just ignoring articles all together, and sifting through to find thread titles that are not articles...
