I really dislike artificial turf in baseball.

Ditto … I seldom use the word, but I actually HATE artificial turf … not baseball enough for me

Brewers have struggled all year covering the 9th up 4 or 5 runs (in the few times it's happened).  Megill has, far and away, been the best at covering that meaningful inning to save the closer/later on relievers.  Taking away the Wilson 2-3 IP runs earlier on in the season.  Until we bullpen upgrade the 6th-8th positions through Ashby/Teheran/Rea or other Minor league arms he should always be the 9th inning go to in these situations.

Urias with two grand slams in a week. Jeez you hate to see that. Meanwhile we stuck with Anderson.

Think it's less about Anderson and sticking with him vs realizing Monasterio might be a less costly solution financially.

This is the second time he’s been in that situation. The other was finishing a 5-0 win over the Pirates.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Succesful road trip, secured. Tomorrow a "bonus game".

In my book there’s no such thing as a bonus game.

Thought it was more than that but regardless that's 2 times we haven't had to worry about the 9th like we did last night.  Keep him in that role.  I have faith he can preserve a 4-5 run lead without having to get Williams up.  I don't have those same thoughts with Mejia or Chafin.

Anderson has 17 PA in August.

They dealt Urias for a talented pitcher to stick with Monasterio and Turang as the starters.

When in doubt, the Brewers lean towards defense.  I think they are similar offensive players.  Also, maybe they just really liked Blalock and The Sox would only do the deal for Urias.

It's a bonus game in the sense that a loss tomorrow wouldn't change what would still be a successful 10 day/9 game roadtrip. Obviously, tomorrow's game counts just as much but it's a lot to ask against one of the best teams in baseball.

Probably to make room for Black in the depth chart, too.

Accumulating arms is something I love to see.  Even if Blalock doesn't pan out there is no reason not to. I always go back to the Adam Lind trade as a reason to accumulate arms.  Missaki and Herrera didn't pan out but that 3rd guy seemed to work out just a bit.

I would love to think that Adames has snapped out of his funk and will be productive for awhile. But, because he’s had a couple of two day “hot streaks” before this season I’ll hold off before getting too excited.

That Rodgers jersey looks like a Bears jersey but I think it is an alternate Packers one.  Otherwise I would say nice troll by that person!
